Essex Open

Sam, Joe & Casey attended the Essex Open on 24-Feb.  Sam & Casey playing in the Open singles event & Joe in the Youth.  Casey played well beating her first opponant 3-0 then going out 3-2 to John Jukes after missing shots at doubles to beat him.  Joe managed to get to the last eight where he faced Shaun Lovett.  Shaun was the vitor in this match & continued his form to take the title beating Jamie Ellis in the final.  Sam carried on his form from the Scottish Open & made his way througha strong field to make the final.  His opponant was last years Essex Open Champ Michael Wiles & he wasn't keen on giving this title away.  Wiles beat Sam 4-1 in the final after Sam missing vital doubles tto level the match up at 2-2.  Sam on his way to the final hit a 28 av in his semi final game following a 36 av in his quarter final match.
